Born in London on July 21, 1989, Jamie Waylett was the youngest of four children. When he was nine years old, he was hit by a car. After being hit by the car, doctors said he had only a small chance of surviving. But he went into intensive care for three days straight. Fortunately, a family friend demanded that doctors test his blood, who was given a blood transfusion and woke up the next day. Surprisingly, this led to his rapid recovery.
At the age of 12, only three years after the accident, Waylett had been cast as Vincent Crabbe in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”. He featured in six of the eight Harry Potter movies in total until the two-part final climactic story, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, which culminated in 2011.
However, in 2009, Jamie Waylett was arrested after a knife and eight bags of cannabis were found in his car. Several marijuana plants were discovered to be growing in his mother’s home. The following year, he pled guilty to growing cannabis but claimed that it was for personal use rather than for distribution. He has since completed 120 hours of community service, as agreed upon by the court.
Nonetheless, in 2011, Jamie Waylett was arrested once more after he participated in the England riots. Searching his home, the police found fifteen cannabis plants and charged him with growing cannabis as well as his involvement in the riots. Waylett was then sentenced to two years in prison.
