- The story that the Bundy family in Married with Children (1987) was named after him is not true. The family was named after the street one of the show's writers lived on.
- Weighed between 440 and 502 pounds during his wrestling career.
- Always ask for a 5 count (instead of 3) at the end of his matches
- Used several names during his wrestling career such as: King Kong Bundy, Boom Boom Bundy, Big Daddy Bundy, Chris Canyon or Man Mountain Canyon.

- Wrestled in a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania III (1987), which pitted himself and midget wrestlers Shigeru Akabane and Eric Tovey against Jim Morris (aka k"Hillbilly Jim") and his midget tag-team partners, Little Beaver and 'The Haiti Kid'. The end of the match saw Bundy, at 450 pounds, body-slam the under-100-pound Little Beaver and then give him a huge elbow drop. This caused Bundy's team to be disqualified.
