DeKay made his television debut in 1995 on the NBC series SeaQuest 2032. After that series ended, DeKay went on to have consistent appearances on large and small screens alike.
From 1997-1999 he played Dr. Paul Thomas in Party of Five. He later began playing Clayton “Jonesy” Jones in the television series Carnivale from 2003-2005 and starring alongside Matthew Bomer in the White Collar TV series from 2009–2014.
